Varsity Lions coasted to an easy 8-2 victory over South Forsyth on Wednesday to open Round 2 of the GHSA State Playoffs.
The Lions fired up the offense in the first inning when Kennedy Harp homered on a 0-1 count scoring two runs.
Then again in the fourth behind a two-run homerun by Madison Strange.
Elle Lunsford was the winning pitcher going all seven innings allowing seven hits and two runs and striking out one.
Alex Harris also contributed a homerun and Madison Strange led the Lions with three hits.
