Varsity Tennis to play Grayson in Round 1 of the State Tournament

The varsity team battled through the rain and played some great tennis to secure the second place spot. Both teams had convincing wins today in the first round of Region play.  The boys took all three points in straight set wins over Duluth.  Winning for Ridge was  Taylor Foote at line 1 singles, Kevin Lim and Niki Makarenko at line 1 doubles and Taylor Galloway and Colin Greeff at line 2 Doubles. Varsity Tennis- Update for Tuesday’s Region Match

Because of the weather coaches are concerned about getting all of the matches in before it gets dark.  There are no lights at Peachtree Ridge, so we have split the boys and girls matches.  The girls will play on all four courts at Peachtree Ridge and the boys will be on courts 12-14 at Sugarloaf. 

Sport Physical Day – Sat. 4/25

Resurgens Orthopaedics and Dr. Scott Quisling will be conducting sport physicals at Peachtree Ridge on Saturday April 25 from 8 AM until noon. The sport physicals will be good for the entire 2015-2016 school year. The athlete can print the physical form from the website and bring their completed form on the day of the physicals.

Region tournament information for Varsity Tennis

Both boys and girls are going into the tournament as the #2 seed. Girls will play Mountain View first round and boys will play Duluth first round. We would qualify for the state tournament with a win on this day. This year the first round of the tournament will be at the home school, so

Varsity Tennis sweeps Meadowcreek on Senior Day

Both boys and girls swept Meadowcreek to cap of the season. The girls kept pretty much the regular line up with the singles lines of Deepa, Sheridan, and Hannah as well as the doubles teams of Laura/Sreeja and Amrutha/Samantha. The boys mixed it up a little for Senior Day with Taylor G playing 1 singles

Athletes of the Week – 04/06/2015

Congratulations to PRHS student athletes of the week of 04/06/2015, Kinsey Dziwura and Carlos Herrera for their outstanding athletic performances while maintaining expectations in the classroom Kinsey Dziwura – girls soccer player who has been a huge asset in the offense this year. Carlos Herrera – boys soccer player scored three goals against Mill Creek.

Tennis-New date for Senior/Teacher Appreciation match

Due to the forecast for rain on Thursday the coaches have decided to cancel the Brookwood (non-region) match on Wednesday, and move the Meadow Creek (region) match to Wednesday.  We will honor the Seniors on the team, as well as host the teachers the players selected for Teacher Appreciation at this match as well. Please join
