Girls Junior Varsity Lacrosse, Girls Varsity Lacrosse · Lady Lions LAX Seniors 2020

The 2020 lacrosse season did not turn out like anyone had planned or could even imagine. No one envisioned that these seniors would end their high school careers in this fashion. However, this fact does not change the importance of the class of 2020 to the Lady Lions’ program. They will be missed for their commitment and special qualities that these young women brought to the field.

Anna-Marie Gazzo

I have been playing lacrosse since the third grade (10 years). After high school I plan to continue my education at Reinhardt University where I’ll be majoring in biology and continue to play lacrosse at a higher level with the best team ever 🙂 My favorite high school memory of lacrosse was going to team bonding in Alabama because it was fun to get closer with the team while trying to do zip lining and obstacle courses.

Audrey Dutton

My favorite memory from high school lacrosse was my very first high school game. We played Johns Creek who had the idea that a win would come easy. We walked into the game with nerves and adrenaline, ready to give them a show. The energy in that stadium was electric and the game ended up being 13-11. Even though we lost, we showed that Peachtree Ridge was back and better than ever and it gave me the excitement for the next four years to come. I will be attending Lee University to play lacrosse. There I will be majoring in Biological Science with a preference of Pre-Physicians Assistant.

Faith Cheeseman

I  have been playing for about 3 years (I started my sophomore year). One of my favorite memories was when I was on JV and we played Centennial and my team was so nervous because basically everyone was new and we heard that their team was so good, so of course we all had the jitters. But everyone calmed their minds and we even started dancing and playing around while we watched the boys team practice. So everyone was relaxed and in tune with each other and when we started the game we played as one and we won. I think that was one of my favorite experiences because we were all so happy and overjoyed and let loose and we had a good time and it paid off. It it my last year playing lacrosse at ridge but I am playing lacrosse for Oglethorpe University where I will start my Pre-Med journey and I can’t wait for it. I just wanted to tell everyone to seize every opportunity that is given to them and make their high school experience worth it because it can all go away in a second. Don’t worry about the petty stuff and do things that make you happy.

Camille Young

I’ve been playing lacrosse for 8 years now, and my favorite memory of high school lacrosse would have to be the one game JV sophomore year where the final girl on the team completed getting a goal, marking each and every girl as getting a goal that season. I remember how happy and proud I felt of my team and special it was that we all came together to make sure everyone scored that season. My future plans are to attend Kennesaw State University and to study biology.

Madison Townsend

Madison has played lacrosse for 6 years. Her favorite high school lacrosse memory is when her team showed up for a away game 2 hours early which gave her and her teammates a great opportunity to bond and have fun before warm ups. Madison will continue her lacrosse career at Howard University in the fall. She plans to major in Biology with the intention of becoming a pediatrician.

Emily Zambrano

I have been playing lacrosse for about 8 years now. My favorite memory of high school lacrosse was our trip to Chattanooga, Tennessee. That trip allowed us to bond as a team, play tough opponents, and have lots of fun. Having to room with random teammates was enjoyable, and it helped us get close at the start of the season. I will be continuing my academic and athletic careers at North Greenville University. There I plan to major in Health Science with the intention of becoming a physical therapist.
